What Is A Lightworker?
A lightworker is someone who consciously holds a higher dimensional space on Earth.
Lightwork probably sounds like rainbows and butterflies all day, but the truth is that a lightworker is an absolute badass. They are a person who is aware of the darkness that exists, and they use their psychic senses and their connection to the non-physical world along with the tools they’ve learned on their life path to transmute that darkness to light.
In other words, a lightworker is an energy healer on steroids.
Lightworkers aren’t afraid to see the darkness, and when they see it they don’t ignore it or pretend it doesn’t exist. They allow themselves to feel the pain that others can’t handle in order to transmute the darkness back to light.
Lightworkers have ascended past typical 3d spiritual teachings.
I’m sure that you’ve heard of the common spiritual teaching of doing your best to have a high vibe all the time, otherwise you won’t be a vibrational match for what you want. You probably either know someone who did this or maybe you bought into this (I used to believe it!) It’s a really common belief towards the beginning of a spiritual awakening that you need to try very hard to keep a positive vibration and at the same time, avoid anything negative that might bring your vibration down.
You might end up pretending to be happy no matter what and always walk around in a state of imagined bliss. The law of attraction has really perpetrated this myth, and can actually end up keeping you stuck in a lower vibration. It may also keep you away from your true calling as an infinite being of light who is strong enough to shine light on the darkness.
Think of an angel, who is an infinite being of light. Do they avoid people in distress, or do they seek them out to bring them light and hope?
Of course, angels are called to help those who are feeling very low, and so are lightworkers.
While we are each infinite beings of light at our core, a lightworker KNOWS this.
A lightworker is not afraid to see the darkness.
Though a lightworker does inhabit a higher vibration, they are not afraid of the knowledge of dark things in life bringing them down because they know they have the tools and the ability to bring themselves back up again. No matter what happens or how terrible or unsettling the new truth they learn, a lightworker is not afraid of the darkness because they know they will transmute that darkness to light and every little bit of light shined upon the darkness brings it one step closer to being removed from this world.
We cannot remove the darkness from this world by pretending it does not exist and that starts by shining the light on it. In other words, a lightworker looks where others are afraid to.
Lightworkers are constantly working through the following four steps:
Step One of Being A Lightworker
Step one is awareness that darkness exists. This may look like being honest about a negative attribute within yourself or about noticing something really bad that’s going on in the world.
Step Two of Being A Lightworker
Step two is working through the stages of grief to come to acceptance. After awareness of the darkness, you have two choices. One is to deny it and say that it’s not true. That’s the easier path and if you’re doing this, you’re not a lightworker (yet!). The more difficult path (and the path to being a lightworker) is to allow yourself to feel all the emotions that come up as you work through the following stages: denial, anger, bargaining, sadness, and acceptance.
Example: Say you just found out that an innocent group of someones somewhere have been systematically tortured for the last two hundred years (this is just an example, although plenty of similar situations do currently exist on Earth).
Denial
If you mention something like this to someone, most people will shake their head and change the subject, hoping never to have to think about this again. Unfortunately, without good people being strong enough to feel the pain of the darkness, light won’t be shone on it, it won’t ever be transmuted and the behavior will likely continue.
If you’ve chosen to be a lightworker, however, when someone mentions this to you, you will ask questions. You may go down a rabbit hole of information on the internet for a few days, weeks or hours. You may become a bit obsessed.
When faced with acknowledging the darkness exists, most people choose denial. Lightworkers say, I trust I’ve been led here for a reason. Tell me more.
Anger
And when you pop up out of this obsession, you will want to deny it and say it’s not true. But instead, you will take a deep breath and allow yourself to get really, really mad that this injustice exists. You’ll let yourself feel the anger in your body, and you will scream into a pillow for ten minutes straight if that’s what it takes to move the anger out of your body.
Bargaining
After you’ve moved through the anger, you may start bargaining, where you’ll try to talk to God or the universe and make a deal so that this doesn’t continue, so that you don’t have to deal with it, or so that if it’s going to continue, it never touches you and your loved ones. A lightworker will recognize when they’re trying to make it better through bargaining and stop themselves.
Sadness
The next step is feeling the sadness, deep in your body, that this exists. This may look like crying or lying in bed for a few hours feeling depressed.
Acceptance
Then a lightworker moves out of sadness by finally choosing to consciously accept that this dark occurrence really exists. And when they’ve consciously chosen acceptance, they’re ready to begin fully transmuting it with step three.
Step Three of Being a Lightworker
The third step of being a lightworker involves using your intuition and psychic senses to move energy, transmuting the darkness that you’ve discovered back to light. In this step, you become balanced yet again, having fully moved through the pain back to light. You become a pillar of light that is deeply rooted into the Earth, as well as being deeply anchored into the non-physical and the remembrance that humans are abundant beings of light who are infinitely supported by the non-physical realm.
Step Four of Being a Lightworker
The fourth step of being a lightworker is to recognize when you’ve been knocked off your pillar of light and have moved back into the first step again.
When I first became a lightworker, I thought when I moved into step three, I would stay there forever. But I soon found that the better I get at transmuting darkness to light, the more darkness I’m shown to transmute. And so I’m going through these steps of being a lightworker pretty frequently.
The good news is that the stronger you get, the quicker you work through steps four, one and two and get back to your pillar of light.
And I will say this: lightwork is the most beautiful, deepest calling. If you are feeling the call, trust you’ve been led here for a reason.
